Hagan Congratulates Raleigh Leader Honored as a White House “Champion of Change”

Hagan, Kay 010809-18418-rb 0014WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Kay Hagan congratulated Anita Brown-Graham, the director of the Institute for Emerging Issues (IEI) at NC State University, who was honored Tuesday at the White House as an Open Government and Civic Hacking “Champion of Change.” Anita’s work at IEI is focused on bringing together leaders in business, higher education and government to address energy and fiscal modernization issues issues in a comprehensive, long-term way.

“Anita Brown-Graham has compiled a distinguished career in higher education and her work has helped foster growth and innovation in North Carolina” said Hagan. “She is one of many leaders in North Carolina focused prosperity for our state, and I am pleased that the White House has recognized her contributions.”
