Rep. John Bell Endorses Rep. Jon Hardister for NC Labor Commissioner

Raleigh, NC- Rep. Jon Hardister (R-Guilford) announced the endorsement of Rep. John Bell. (R Wayne, Majority Leader) for his campaign for NC Labor Commissioner. 

Bell is currently serving his 6th term in the House of Representatives and has served as the House Majority Leader since 2016. He is currently a board member for RISE Capital and part of various legislative committees such as the NC Military Affairs Commission, Legislative Research Commission, Energy and Public Utilities Committee, and the Agriculture Committee. 

“I am proud to endorse my colleague and friend Rep. Jon Hardister for NC Labor Commissioner.” Bell said. “Having worked closely with Jon and House leadership for the past 8 years, I know that he has the experience and work ethic to successfully lead the Department of Labor. He understands the needs of businesses and workers and will be ready to serve on day one.” 

“It is an honor to have Rep. John Bell’s endorsement,” Hardister said. “He has done an outstanding job serving as the House Majority Leader and I am proud of the work we have done together. As Labor Commissioner, I will work with Rep. Bell and others in the General Assembly to promote a strong economy and workforce development across North Carolina.” 

Hardister is currently serving his sixth term in the NC House. He announced in January that he is seeking the office of NC Labor Commissioner after Commissioner Josh Dobson announced his retirement. Dobson has endorsed Hardister to succeed him in office.
