Modernization of Election Data Systems panel meets
The Modernization of Election Data Systems Advisory Commission was scheduled to meet Monday, Aug. 24, with an agenda that included opening remarks from State Auditor Dave Boliek, a SEIMS replacement planning update from State Board of Elections Executive Director Sam Hayes and a NEXUS subcommittee report. The item is relevant because the commission’s work concerns statewide election data systems and election administration infrastructure.
Adult Correction names community supervision manager
The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction promoted John “Jay” Craft to judicial district manager for Judicial District 8, effective Aug. 31. The district covers Greene, Lenoir and Wayne counties, with 69 probation and parole officers and staff supervising more than 2,300 people on probation, parole or post-release supervision. The appointment is regional, but it involves state correctional supervision operations and criminal justice administration.
