Top Pro-Business Groups Recognize Rep. John Bell as Leader for Boosting Jobs in NC

Raleigh, NC - Two prominent pro-business voting record analyses have rated Representative John Bell (R-Wayne) as one of the top state lawmakers supporting job creation in North Carolina.

The North Carolina FreeEnterprise Foundation (NCFREE) released its 2025 Legislative Business Ratings (LBR), a comprehensive review measuring how state lawmakers supported or hindered North Carolina’s pro-business climate and economic competitiveness.

Representative Bell received a rating of 90.5 percent, the second-highest mark in the House. Since being elected, he has ranked in the top five each year.

The NC Chamber also named Representative Bell a “Jobs Champion” in its annual How They Voted report. He supported the Chamber’s Jobs Agenda 90 percent of the time during the 2025 legislative session and holds a lifetime rating of 94 percent.

“I’m proud to be recognized for supporting policies that help North Carolina businesses grow and create jobs,” said Representative Bell. “Our state continues to lead the nation in economic development because we remain focused on keeping taxes low, cutting red tape, and investing in a stronger workforce. I will always be a champion for pro-growth reforms that boost job creation, strengthen our economy, and attract new investment - especially in rural areas.”

NC Chamber President and CEO Gary Salamido, added, “As we work to protect and advance North Carolina’s standing as a top state for business, job creators rely on leaders who take decisive action to keep our state competitive. The leadership demonstrated by this year’s Jobs Champions strengthens North Carolina’s ability to grow, attract investment, and expand opportunities for families and communities across North Carolina.”
