Raleigh, NC – The North Carolina House of Representatives today voted to override Governor Stein’s veto of House Bill 805—Prevent Sexual Exploitation/Women and Minors.
House Bill 805 codifies common sense by:
Defining male and female in state law to ensure clarity in legal and policy matters.
Prohibiting taxpayer-funded gender transitions for prisoners and minors.
Upholding parents’ right to know what materials their children are being exposed to in school.
Creating age verification and consent requirements for individuals appearing in adult images, providing for the removal of that content, and creating enforcement mechanisms.
Protecting girls' private spaces and sleeping quarters on overnight school trips.
