Washington, D.C. — Today, Representatives Deborah Ross (NC-02), Rich McCormick (GA-07), and Gabe Amo (RI-01), members of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee, introduced a bipartisan resolution expressing support for the designation of today, March 26, as National Science Appreciation Day – the date the Polio vaccine was developed. This national observance would provide an opportunity to recognize and celebrate American scientific achievements and inspire the next generation of leaders in these fields.

Foushee seeks answers after civilians detained near North Carolina military sites

WASHINGTON, DC (March 25, 2026) — Yesterday, Congresswoman Valerie Foushee (NC-04) sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth demanding answers on the reports of eleven individuals who were detained after inadvertently entering military-controlled areas in or near North Carolina’s Fourth Congressional District and surrounding region, including areas connected to Fort Liberty, Camp Lejeune, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Marine Corps Air Station New River, and the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point. 

Berger concedes Senate primary loss to Sam Page, closing a long chapter in Raleigh

North Carolina Senate leader Phil Berger has conceded his Republican primary loss to Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page, ending one of the most consequential election fights of the 2026 cycle and setting up a coming leadership shift in the General Assembly. Berger acknowledged the result Tuesday after a partial hand recount found no change in the vote totals and Page’s 23-vote lead held.
